There are certain steps that if followed make one learn to play saxophone very easily. The first and the foremost thing would demand slight rolling of the lower lip over the lower teeth. Placing half the inches of mouthpiece into the mouth and then allowing the reed to rest on the lower lip is the next step. It must be made sure that the teeth touch the top of this mouthpiece. Then the corners of lips are closed and sealed.

Use your left hand for pressing the left key and then blow air steadily through the same mouthpiece. Gradual pressure needs to be applied against reed. The vibrations generated in the reed produce sound. You must use the entire supply of air and maintain steady pressure throughout; this would help produce a very pleasing tone.

It is not at all difficult to play a saxophone if the above mentioned steps are tried a few times. Once you try them regularly, you can easily master the techniques and start playing the instrument without facing much difficulty. There can be several distractions during the initial stages of learning, but one needs to overcome them because it would not require much time to practice these steps effectively.
